1. Disability officer
  • There is a dedicated reservation cell, Mrs. Swati Biswas, Joint Registrar, is the Liaising Officer for PwDs in respect of matters relating to representations of persons belonging to the persons with Disabilities.
  • Coordination with Health Centre and Counselling Services.
2. Infrastructure Accessibility
  • The campus is barrier free and accessible for persons with disability (PwD).
  • More than 80% of buildings have ramps, lifts, and disabled-friendly washrooms to facilitate accessibility.
  • All apartments within the institute are equipped with ramps or lifts, ensuring comfortable accommodation for residents with disabilities.
  • Dedicated washroom is available for the use by persons with disabilities.

    • Seating preferences in class for better accessibility.

    • Tutors assigned for students to assist after class hours if needed.

    • Reader/Scribe is provided.
    • Raised chair/table is provided.

  • Accommodations for Campus Residency:
    • Given preference in hostel allotment to ensure accessible living arrangements.

    • Adjustable chair and table available in hostel mess and canteens.
  • Accommodation in Career:
    • Accessible terminals to take placement exams.
    • Dedicated volunteers to assist and navigate during placement drives.
4. Transportation accessibility
  • Wheelchair facilities are available in every department and hostel, ensuring ease of movement.
  • E-Rickshaws are easily accessible on campus, providing eco-friendly and convenient transportation.
  • A university bus facility is available to assist students and staff in commuting cross the campus.
5. Assistive Tool for accessible content
  • The Institute website has provision to enlarge the written text and links to download freely available screen readers for easy access by visually challenged people.
  • Cognizance and procurement of new assistive tech (hardware and software).
6. Financial Accessibility
