IIT (BHU) Varanasi’s heritage dates back to 1919 with the establishment of the Banaras Engineering College (BENCO) by the visionary Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya. After evolving through the years, the institution achieved the full status of an Indian Institute of Technology in 2012, cementing its place among the top IITs in India. Set within the magnificent campus of the historic Banaras Hindu University, the institute offers world-class Bachelors, Masters, and Ph.D. programmes across diverse engineering, science, and humanities departments.
