Integrated Dual Degree (IDD):
A comprehensive program designed for undergraduate (UG) students aspiring to gain a strong foundation in engineering alongside specialized training in decision science. It provides a blend of analytical, computational, and application-based learning, enabling graduates to tackle multifaceted challenges in technology and management. -
Master of Technology (M.Tech):
A postgraduate program that equips students with advanced tools and frameworks in optimization, data-driven modeling, machine learning, and systems engineering. M.Tech graduates are prepared for impactful roles in industry, government, consulting, and technology-driven enterprises. -
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.):
A research-intensive program aimed at cultivating scholars and innovators who can push the boundaries of knowledge in decision sciences and engineering. Doctoral candidates engage in cutting-edge research addressing challenges in sustainability, technology integration, decision support systems, and beyond.

NC Jain
The Naresh C. Jain School of Decision Science and Engineering has been made possible by a generous gift from Shri Naresh C. Jain (Department of Mechanical Engineering – 1967). The Naresh C. Jain School of Decision Science and Engineering offers a Master of Technology and a Ph.D. program in Decision Science and Engineering with emphasis on practical learning and applied research. The mission of the school is to train the technical manpower of this institute and beyond, in all aspects of people and process management. This is made possible through highly qualified, motivated, and dedicated faculty who deliver an enabling course curriculum providing layered learning experiences.
Shri Naresh C Jain's own journey had humble beginnings, made possible only by a full scholarship that covered room, tuition, and board to attend what was then known as BENCO. Driven by his second-to-none work ethic and determination, his professional journey took him from the idyllic settings of Banaras to corporate boardrooms in the USA and eventually to founding his business ventures. Looking back at his roots, he felt obliged to help the next generation of scientists, engineers, and managers through his gift to create this school.
In his own words, "I'm confident that the School of Decision Science and Engineering will become a global leader in producing excellent decision makers with professional integrity and values who will contribute to the progress of society."
