School of Biomedical Engineering

Dr. Sachin Rahi recently joined as an Assistant Professor in the School of Biomedical Engineering, IIT(BHU) Varanasi, in April 2026. He was a recipient of the prestigious Indo-German Science & Technology Centre (IGSTC) Post-doctoral Industrial Fellowship 2024 award for doing post-doctoral industrial research at Airbus, Munich, Germany, where he worked from 1^st October 2024 to 30^th September 2025. Right after completing his tenure at Airbus, he was awarded an Institute Postdoctoral Fellowship at IIT Kharagpur, where he worked until March 2026 before joining to IIT(BHU) Varanasi. He completed his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from IIT Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India, in April 2024. During this time, he worked on flexible organic transistors for e-textile and memory applications. His research interests include flexible and wearable devices for memory, circuit and sensing applications. Before joining to Ph.D., he worked as a Teaching Assistant at SVNIT, Surat, India, in 2018-2019. He received his M.Tech. degree in electronics and communication engineering from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, Dhanbad, India, in May 2018, and B.E. degree in electronics and communication engineering from Medi-caps Institute of Technology and Management, Indore in June 2014. He has published more than 25 research articles.
