About Me

Dr. Rahul Upadhyay is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mining Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) BHU, Varanasi. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree from MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur. He further pursued his Master of Technology (M.Tech) from IIT BHU, where he deepened his expertise in mining engineering. Dr. Upadhyay later earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT KGP), specializing in occupational health, safety, and ergonomics. His academic and research area focus on enhancing safety protocols, improving ergonomic practices, safety data analytics, application of artificial intelligence and machine learning in mining industry and mitigating occupational health risks acrcoss mining and allied industries.
