Rajputana Hostel is one of the oldest and iconic hostels of IIT (BHU) Varanasi, established in the year of 1927. Several alumni from this hostel have gone ahead to create their academic, corporate and societal impact at both national and international levels. It has 188 rooms arranged in a way overseeing a salubrious quadrangle that has lush green meadows and maintained throughout the year by dedicated gardeners (Mali).
Hostel has a big common hall facilitated with games like Table Tennis, Carom and Chess. There are two badminton courts and a volleyball court, both with flood lighting facilities. Hostel has very old Gurudwara situated near entrance of the hostel. Hostel has high speed Wi-Fi LAN Internet facility for all rooms. The premise is under CCTV surveillance on a continuous basis. There are two clubs running by the students like AMC (Aeromodeling Club), FMC (Film and Media Club).
