Dr. Satyabrata Behera
About me
Dr. Satyabrata Behera is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mining Engineering at IIT BHU, Varanasi. He previously served as a Deputy Manager at Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), overseeing the raw material division with a focus on iron ore production. Dr. Behera holds a PhD from IIT Kharagpur, specializing in rock drilling and blasting, explosive utilization, rock fragmentation, and blast-induced ground vibration. He completed his B.Tech and M.Tech in Mining Engineering from NIT Rourkela.
Dr. Behera holds a Second Class Manager's Competency Certificate (Restricted to Metalliferous Mines) from DGMS and is certified in First Aid, equipped to handle emergencies in mining operations. He has participated in numerous conferences, enhancing his expertise through engagements both in India and internationally. His deep knowledge and practical skills continue to shape the future of mining engineering education and practice.
