SN Bose Hostel is one of the finest hostels of IIT-BHU.
This hostel is named after one of India's greatest mathematicians and physicists, Prof Satyendra Nath Bose. During the early 1920s, he developed Bose statistics and the theory of the Bose condensate based on his work on quantum mechanics. Currently, this hostel is home to PhD scholars from various fields. The hostel is equipped with necessary modern facilities and has spacious and double occupancy based 168 comfortable rooms. Each room of the hostel is connected to the Institute LAN (Local Area Network) and Wi-Fi, from where students can access the intranet and internet facilities provided by the Institute. This hostel provides sufficient scope for interaction and relationship building, which gives the new students an opportunity to know their seniors, learn from them and leverage their knowledge. There are self-sufficient units inside the hostel having regular amenities i.e. Common Hall with TV and indoor games, guest rooms, 3 dining mess including one Satwik mess, a canteen, and a badminton court. Not only is the food and infrastructure of this hostel great, but the residents are what make it so special as well.
