 Vision

To be a Cell for facilitating studies, R&D and implementation of innovative teaching-learning
methodologies/ technologies under teaching-learning processes of the Institute, in better pursuit of
quality for higher technical education to the level of world class education in the service of the
nation.

Mission To facilitate a productive educational environment in the Institute by way of:
1.To Motivate teachers and students towards an efficient and enjoyable educational interaction
through exposure to research-based, scientifically-proven, and innovative teaching-learning
methodologies.
2.To Promote high class of innovation using ICT in education Technology.
3.To create and develop synergy between the teachers and students for a new and sustainable
paradigm of higher technical education, with the ultimate aim of producing human resources of the
highest professional and personal quality.
 

  • Historical Background
    Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), came into existence in 1919, in the form of Banaras Engineering College (BENCO) and has now grown into a leading science and engineering education centre, recognized nationally and internationally for teaching and research. It is also known worldwide for the achievements of its alumni, who have made immense contribution to the society at large in various capacities in the fields of education, industry, research, business, entrepreneurship, and administration.
    Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University was converted into Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) since June 30, 2012. Center for Education Technology (CET) was converted in Teaching-Learning Cell (TLC) in June 2013. The Teaching–Learning Cell (TLC) strengthen the teaching environment of the institute by way of initiating several activities. It covers all aspects of teaching, pedagogy, laboratory projects, assessment etc.
