Welcome to my homepage. I am Kothapalli Venkata Srinivas, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi.  

My research interests include wireless communications, Nano communication networks and statistical learning.

My research interests are in wireless networks and nano communication networks and my research, so far, has been primarily focused on the physical layer issues of these networks. For my PhD thesis, I have worked on developing novel transmit-receive algorithms for multi-antenna wireless systems with (full and partial) feedback and efficient relay protocols for cooperative wireless networks. In my postdoctoral research, apart from my work on cooperative relaying and femtocell networks, I have worked on nano communication networks, a new frontier in communications technology. In particular, we have proposed a mathematical framework to analyze molecular communications, a biologically inspired solution for nano machines to communicate with each other.  

I got to work on resource allocation problem, while working on fractional cooperation among femtocells during my postdoc. Later, at Nokia Networks, I enjoyed working on radio resource management algorithms for LTE-A cellular networks with coordinated beamforming.

Currently, I am working on physical layer aspects of millimeter wave communications, anti-jamming techniques for LTE Cellular networks, and investigating machine learning techniques for developing novel solutions for wireless networks.

  • As an active member of Indian Evaluation Group for IMT 2020 (aka 5G) keenly following IMT 2020 developments.

  • As a delegate of TCOE (Telecom Centers of Excellence) India, attended ITU-R Working Party 5D meeting at Munich, Germany, during Oct 3-13, 2017.
